At 5654, Owain advises clients on political engagement and campaigning, drawing on his experience in front-line politics. He has expertise in strategic communications, speechwriting and preparation ahead of media appearances. 

Owain has nearly a decade of advisory experience across frontline politics and public affairs. He was a Special Adviser for Bridget Phillipson, the then Education Secretary and was a communications adviser to both Phillipson and Steve Reed in Opposition under the leadership of Keir Starmer, and for Barbara Keeley as Shadow Cabinet Minister for Mental Health. Owain also led communications on Bridget Phillipson’s Deputy Leadership campaign and has worked on numerous local election campaigns and a General Election campaign, for the Labour Party.

Owain previously worked in public affairs in the charity and public sectors, as well as advising health clients for a public affairs and communications consultancy.
